Discipleship or New Member Orientation (NMO) classes are held regularly at SACC.
The hope of SACC’s NMO classes are to properly assimilate new and existing members through a strategic, systematic and organized orientation process.
Starting Point is a casual environment opportunity to meet others, find out about South Austin Community Church, our vision, purpose, passion and God’s plan.
This class is the basic introduction to our church family and is the first of several discipleship classes we offered by SACC. Since we have members with many different religious backgrounds, this class was designed to clearly explain our purpose and beliefs, to unify us, and to set everyone on the same page. Whether you are a guest contemplating membership in our church, or one who has already made the decision to join, we would like you to fully understand our vision, beliefs, practices, structure and strategy.
Next Step is designed for those who desire to become involved in the ministry at South Austin Community Church (SACC).
The courses are basic, foundational courses that will give you a good grip on the basics of the Christian faith, a knowledge of the Bible, and how to serve—in the area of your giftedness, calling and training—as Jesus did.
SHAPE stands for Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experience. This is a study of the spiritual gifts taught in the New Testament where you will discover or become more confident of your own gifts, and how and where to use them in service for Christ.
